2009-10 Season Outlook
The 2009 version of the Dalhousie Tigers women's cross country team have
what it takes to avenge last year's second place AUS finish. Many
senior athletes are returning and a handful of recruits are joining
the team which will ensure an exciting season. This year the Tigers
look forward to racing the AUS championships on their home course
in Point Pleasant Park.
All-conference
superstar, Caroline Schlosser will lead a pack of talented and determined
runners including Cara Groves who is coming off an amazing
summer season, and returning AUS scorers Stephanie Bennett and Valerie
Christie. The Tiger squad also includes three Canada Games runners – 800m
bronze medalist Celia Peters, steeplechaser Becki Reeves, as well as
5000m specialist and Tiger rookie Sarah Currie. This year's team
boasts a fast top-end and impressive depth - two crucial ingredients
for cross country success.
The Tigers will enjoy a full competition schedule including all the
conference league meets and an interlock with the Quebec conference.
